U.S.-Palestinian Partnership: Promoting Economic and Educational Opportunities for the Palestinian People. This innovative partnership was launched December 3, 2007 and its major activities include the May 2008 Palestinian Investment Conference in Bethlehem, which focused on attracting private sector investment in the Palestinian economy. Institute Releases Guidebook of Socially Responsible Business School Programs. The Aspen Institute Center for Business Education (Aspen CBE) is publishing its first guidebook for MBA students seeking socially responsible business school programs. Based on research from Aspen CBE's latest Beyond Grey Pinstripes rankings, 130 global MBA programs are profiled in the guide and designated as "truly extraordinary," "excellent," or "good." Olson and Marissa Mayer, the Knight Commission on the Information Needs of Communities in a Democracy convened its inaugural meeting at the Knight Conference Center at the Newseum in Washington DC. New class of ALI/West Africa Fellows Launched in Nigeria. The ALI/West Africa Initiative, a joint venture between the Aspen Institute, Databank Ghana and LEAP Africa Nigeria, launched a second class of Fellows comprised of twenty-six outstanding Ghanaian and Nigerian leaders. They are highly accomplished entrepreneurial leaders from the business, government and civil society sectors. Read more.
